Job description

 Purpose of the function  

Reporting to the Sales & Engineering VP, the Account Manager main objective is to maintain and optimize current customers/products account.  This role will act as the primary interface to the assigned customers. The successful candidate will build intimate and sustainable customer relationships, to support the achievement of our sales objectives.

Wanted profile

  • University or College Technical Degree (mechanical is an asset);
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience;
  • Mastery of sales techniques, negotiation and conclusion of contracts;
  • Perfectly bilingual (spoken and written) in French/English; Spanish an asset;
  • Availability to travel between 25 to 50% of his time (valid passport);
  • MS Office proficient (Office 365 a plus);
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills;



  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers to maximize the opportunity to quote business that aligns with the Exo-s strategic planning;
  • Interface with customer purchasing, design, engineering and quality personnel to achieve a balance between Exo-s and customer’s expectations;
  • Achieve sales targets (aligned with our profitability expectations) by realizing current business and identifying new business opportunities;
  • Cultivates, develop and maintains relationships with customers in order to identify potential and/or future business opportunities;
  • Review and analyze customers RFQ and present potential opportunities to the internal quoting team;
  • Coordinate and lead negotiation process with customers for quoting activity;
  • Have a full understanding of the customer requirements (identify the “hurts”);
  • Optimize the win rate by analyzing projects that we do not win and make recommendations to achieve success for future opportunities;

Account management:

  • Manage cost reduction programs of customers when applicable;
  • Identify the profitability level (of an account, program, project or part) and deploy a plan to improve it;
  • Review customer satisfaction reports; Coordinate with related internal areas specific plans & actions to improve Exo-s scores;
  • Support any commercial negotiations related to engineering changes;
  • Collaborate to adjust Exo-s sales strategy by analyzing our accounts, competitors, market and technology trends;
  • Ensure that all of our quotes are submitted on time.
