Business Analyst - Operations
Job description
Reporting to the IT Director, the Business Analyst will work with cross-functional teams to drive key business initiatives improving business processes with respect to a standard project management methodology. The candidate will be required to perform various technical and analytical services for his customers across all sites (Canada, USA, Mexico) and will work in a support role for users with Information Technology Systems.
Wanted profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Management Information Systems or equivalent;
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience;
- Knowledge of various Manufacturing business processes / Manufacturing experience is required;
- Knowledge of a variety of data analysis techniques, including clustering, logistic regression, data/text mining, decision trees, etc.;
- Comfortable manipulating and extracting insights from large and complex datasets;
- Project management experience;
- Experience in business process mapping, an asset;
- Strong understanding of integrated systems;
- Knowledge of SQL code an asset;
- Experience with Business Intelligence Applications (IntelliPlex, Crystal Report, Adaptive Planning, etc.);
- Familiarity with Microsoft tools;
- Experience in application of lean principles;
- Strong analytical, innovative problem solving and multi-tasking skills;
- Bias towards action;
- Bilingual (French / English), Spanish an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to work autonomously;
- Availability to travel (valid passport);
- Six Sigma knowledge an asset.
Responsibilities
- Drive quantitative analysis and modeling to support business decisions;
- Proactively monitor, identify, and resolve business-critical problems or risks;
- Define key metrics and dashboards to track key business metrics;
- Actively participate/lead various problem-solving workshops to meet customers’ expectations;
- Implement both quick wins and long-term solutions;
- Provide training to users;
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions;
- Deal with change management while implementing novelties;
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies;
- Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance;
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users;
- Coordinate all activities between IT, staff and various internal departments;
- Perform as resource to all internal departments to plan, develop and control information systems plus workplace automation;
- Develop and maintain documentation and metrics to improve operational efficiency;

- Work with ERP system users and managers to determine appropriate/optimized system configuration;
- Research, identify, develop, test and implement changes to enhance ERP systems and business processes;
- Deploy Industry best practices to enhance efficiency of Exo-s throughout our ERP modules;
- Support EDI change requests;
- Answer user’s requests, both locally and remotely, for ERP system through a desk tool request system;
- Participate in important projects such as enabling new modules with our ERP;
- Build/improve/drive scalable operational processes between multiple functions;

- Manage information systems plus databases to format as well as retrieve data for qualitative and quantitative evaluation and reporting;
- Combine human-system solutions for business processes;
- Ensure to integrate current as well as upcoming technology systems;
- Carry out research and evaluate new technologies that can improve existing services;
- Proffer solutions to meet clients’ needs within time and cost constraints through analysis and assessment on the organization existing software and database management systems, and information technology.
