LINK is a graduation project led by 20 students in mechanical, electrical and computer engineering from the University of Sherbrooke (UdS), finishing their degree in a few weeks!!
With the help of his colleagues from the UdeS, Karel Carrier, a former and successful intern at Exo-s, helped design an avant-garde shuttle.
Offering off-road autonomous transportation, this shuttle travels professors and students of the faculty of engineering, between the University of Sherbrooke to the CTA and 3IT research centers. In both summer and winter, the autonomous vehicle has the capacity to travel this 585-meter course, containing a slope of 13 degrees.
To help Karel in his project, two pieces of plastic were manufactured at our Richmond plant using our 3D printers. The material used for the manufacture of these parts is a nylon filled with carbon fibers thus making the gears durable and resistant to the various mechanical forces of the system.
Innovation and know-how have been used in the realization of this ambitious project.
Break a leg guys!
