JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all logistics tasks from procurement to delivery. This role ensures efficient and flawless movement of raw materials and finished goods while optimizing costs, maintaining high service levels, and ensuring compliance, industry regulations and customer specific requirements. The Logistics Manager will work closely with all other departments to enhance operational efficiency.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THE JOB
DIRECT REPORTS
• Logistics Coordinators, Material Handlers, Repackers, Shippers & Store Clerks
The Manager is responsible for training all these positions at time of new hire and when new processes are put in place.
LOGISTICS OVERSIGHT
• Manage all inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
PROCUREMENT
• An efficient procurement process is crucial in ensuring timely delivery and helping manage inventory levels.
• The Logistics Manger and his/her team will work closely with the Planner to ensure fluidity in the supply chain, communicating always should any issues arise. They will also work closely with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to optimize supply chain processes.
• Ensure all receiving’s are done daily, work with accounting if there are any receiving issues.

INVENTORY CONTROL
• Is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy of both components and finished goods by setting up cycle counts and deep diving the issues leading to inventory losses.
• Review Min/Max of all components and materials at least every year.
• Work with Planner on setting Min/Max of all finished goods, keeping in mind Warehouse Space.

WAREHOUSE
• Oversee all warehouse operations, inventory levels and material flow to minimize waste and storage costs.
• Review what if anything needs to be shipped out to an offsite warehouse.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
• Ensure EDI accuracy coming into and going out of our system. Work closely with the Master Price team if there are issues with loading caused by lack of Master Price.
• Schedule shipments 24 hours ahead and call any carriers in that may need to be called in.
• Ensure accurate and timely deliveries to customers, addressing any logistical challenges proactively.
• Review all customer scorecards and address any concerns.

REPACKING
• Ensure Repackers are given instructions on what needs to be repacked daily and what should be running in containers at the press.

PROCESS OPTIMIZATION
• Implement best practices in logistics, including lean methodologies, to enhance operational efficiency.
• The Department should be tracking all CRPs approved by the Controller, working on meeting their target set for the year.

ECN
• Participate in Engineering Change Meetings to ensure clear breakpoints and limiting excess inventory of components & finished goods.

COST MANAGEMENT
• Monitor costs pertaining to Logistics such as transportation and supplies to achieve cost savings.
• Is responsible for coding all transportation invoices received.

KPIs
• Currently in place but not limited to:
o Cycle Counts
o Expedite Occurrences
o Expedite Costs
o Missed ASNs
o OTD

COMPLIANCE & SAFETY
• Ensure adherence to OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all employees are continuously wearing their PPE.

TECHNOLOGY UTILIZATION
• ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Customer Portals, Transportation Portals

EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
 Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or blow molding industries.
 Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
 Knowledge of transportation regulations, warehousing best practices, and inventory control.
 Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
 Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities.
Physical/Work Environment Requirement
 Must be able to physically perform the basic life operation functions of Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Must possess the visual alertness to operate equipment and motor vehicles, perform trades, tasks, inspect the work of others, and review work for accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness.
